How an idea reaches the showcase
- The idea is published to the CommonQuant research feed and ranked against the other ideas released that day.
- It is pre-generated as a runnable strategy, so its entry and exit rules are fixed before any outcome is known.
- At least 30 days later the strategy is backtested against real historical market data.
- The result is archived here with the idea's release rank, so both good and bad outcomes stay on the record.
What each showcase card shows
- The original idea title, unedited from the day it was published.
- The backtested return over the 90 days following publication.
- A plain-language summary of the thesis behind the idea.
- The themes and tags the idea was filed under.
- The rank the idea held among that release, before any outcome was known.
