With strikes happening for a second day, traders are pricing in a higher risk of extended supply disruptions. Energy stocks and oil funds are reacting to this fear, and since these tensions show no immediate sign of resolving, the upward pressure on oil prices is likely to continue.
Strategy approach
Build a rule-based strategy that enters long USO on the daily (1D) timeframe when the price makes a new 10-day high and the ATR(14) is expanding. Exit the position if the price closes below the 10-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) or a 5% trailing stop is hit, whichever comes first.
