SAP's blowout earnings prove that companies are opening their wallets to integrate AI into their business software, not just buying chips. At the same time, the physical infrastructure required to support this AI boom is driving massive demand for industrial companies that manufacture data center cooling, electrical components, and power systems. Investors are rewarding these often-overlooked industrial firms with tech-level stock valuations. Buying a mix of established software and industrial suppliers offers a way to invest in the AI boom outside of the crowded headline chip stocks.
Strategy approach
Build a swing strategy that goes long industrials and enterprise software with AI infrastructure exposure. Enter long positions in an equally-weighted basket of ITW, ETN, SAP when the overall market (SPY) is above its 50-day moving average and the basket's combined 14-day RSI is below 65. Exit individual positions on a 12% trailing stop or after a 21-day holding period.
