When oil stays elevated, it keeps inflation sticky, which forces the Fed to hold rates higher for longer — or even hike again. That's exactly what's happening: a Fed official is publicly saying inflation is the primary concern, bonds are selling off, and traders are starting to bet on a rate hike. In a world where cash and short-term bonds yield over 5%, a fund that uses a covered-call strategy to generate high monthly income becomes very attractive — it lets you earn elevated yields while waiting out the uncertainty, rather than riding the volatility in regular stocks.
