A 'Big Short' investor is publicly comparing Nvidia's AI push to Enron — one of the most infamous corporate blowups in history — while Cathie Wood is simultaneously piling into the stock even as her own camp admits the new AI plan makes it riskier. On top of that, Nvidia is up only about 20% this year, an unusually calm stretch that has Wall Street digging into history books to argue a big move is coming next. When the loudest names on Wall Street split this sharply over the same stock, the price rarely stays still for long. Rather than picking a side, you can buy both a bet that it rises and a bet that it falls (a 'straddle') — you profit if Nvidia jumps or drops sharply in either direction, and your loss is capped at the modest upfront cost if it keeps drifting sideways.
