The entire semiconductor sector is taking a hit due to fears of trade restrictions with China and comparisons to the dot-com bubble. While Nvidia's stock is getting punished as investors question its massive valuation and spending trajectory, the fundamental need for AI computing power remains intact. This creates a perfect rotation setup: investors who still want AI exposure but are wary of Nvidia's prices can move their money to AMD, which is actively being discussed as a serious, cheaper alternative to Nvidia's crown.
