The market is in its second losing week since the Fed hiked, and without the Magnificent Seven the pullback would be far worse — that relative strength shows where investors are hiding. A record $7 trillion of options expiring Friday creates short-term price distortions and elevated trading volume, which historically resolves in the direction of the prevailing trend. Pairing these means the strongest mega-cap names are likely to be the beneficiaries once the expiration noise clears. This is a relative-strength trade, not a bet that the whole market rebounds.
