Thesis
Apple is the most valuable company in the world for a reason — it generates massive cash flows and has a loyal customer base. When a stock this dominant consolidates just below its all-time high, it often means big investors are quietly accumulating shares before the next push higher. A breakout to new highs could attract momentum buyers.
Strategy approach
Build a breakout strategy for AAPL that enters long when price closes above the 20-day high on volume at least 25% above the 20-day average volume. Place a stop loss at the 10-day low. Trail the stop to the 5-day low after a 3% gain is achieved.
