Multiple crypto-focused firms are liquidating large portions of their ETH and BTC treasuries to raise cash, creating a persistent overhang of sell pressure on digital assets. At the same time, major tech companies like Google are taking on extraordinary off-balance-sheet risk just to fund their AI infrastructure build-outs. The result is a divergence: capital is rotating out of speculative crypto treasuries and into the tangible AI hardware economy. Crypto exchanges are even building new products to let crypto-native capital chase stock market returns, further draining demand from tokens themselves. This combination of crypto treasury liquidation and relentless AI capex suggests a structural drag on token prices relative to AI-exposed equities.
