Strategy approach
Build a swing-trading strategy entering long positions in US domestic steel and aluminum producers (NUE, X, CMC) when US tariff announcements on imported metals or related goods are made. Enter on the trading day following the announcement. Hold for 14–21 days. Exit if the stock makes a new 10-day high and then reverses 3% from that high, or at the end of the max hold period.
