Airlines are the most fuel-sensitive stocks on the market — every dollar move in crude goes straight out of their margins, and they rarely can pass fuel costs to passengers quickly. While the broad market only slipped slightly, the sector-specific damage from sustained high crude is direct and immediate. As long as the diplomatic track stays stalled, airline shares should underperform.
