Bitcoin is already on track for a rare back-to-back quarterly loss, and a top Wall Street firm (Citadel Securities) is warning that the new Fed Chair is prepared to aggressively fight inflation, which usually hurts risky assets like crypto. Making matters worse, Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) just filed paperwork to potentially sell up to $1.25 billion of its Bitcoin holdings — the exact opposite of their entire corporate strategy. If the largest corporate buyer suddenly becomes a seller during a weak market, it could flood the market with supply and push prices even lower, dragging MSTR stock down with it.
Strategy approach
Build a rule-based short strategy on MSTR using D1 timeframe. Enter short when MSTR closes below its 20-day moving average AND IBIT (Bitcoin ETF) closes below its 10-day moving average on the same day. Exit if MSTR closes above its 10-day moving average.
