SpaceX set for historic Friday debut — ride the retail stampede

When hugely anticipated companies go public, the massive wave of excitement from investors who couldn't buy before often drives the stock price up on the first day of trading. With retail investors ordering $70 billion worth of shares and institutional giants like BlackRock trying to buy in, there is an extreme imbalance of demand over available shares. This 'stampede' of buyers stuck on the outside looking in creates a strong upward push as they scramble to get a piece of the company once the bell rings. Buying shortly after the market opens allows you to ride this initial wave of enthusiasm.
Strategy approach
Build a strategy for the SpaceX IPO on its opening day (June 12, 2026) using the symbol SPCE if SPX is unavailable. Monitor 1-minute and 5-minute chart volume. Enter a long position if the stock establishes a support base within the first 30 minutes of trading and breaks above its opening 15-minute high on high volume. Exit with a 5% trailing stop or a 2% hard stop if it falls below the opening 15-minute low.
