The AI safety panic is a broad sentiment shock, but the damage is not evenly spread — it is hitting companies whose products AI could replace (Salesforce, ServiceNow fell 4-5% on the GPT-6 launch) far harder than the company building the infrastructure. Nvidia actually benefits from AI competition accelerating, as shown by its reported talks to invest in Anthropic's IPO, keeping it on the inside of every major AI player. That asymmetry makes a long-Nvidia/short-legacy-software pair trade a way to stay exposed to AI while hedging out the panic.
