When rates rise, both long-term government bonds and smaller company stocks tend to lose value fast, making them prime targets for a short-term bearish trade.
Strategy approach
Build a rule-based strategy that enters short TLT and IWM on the Daily timeframe when the 10-day moving average crosses below the 50-day moving average, and the RSI(14) is below 50. Use a 2% stop loss and a 4% take profit. Set a maximum holding period of 15 days.
