The Saudi pipeline outage tightens finished-fuel supply further, and industry experts say no one can quickly add refining capacity. This makes refiners a different and arguably purer way to play the energy shock than oil majors or tankers, because they benefit from the bottleneck itself. Record diesel prices with no near-term supply relief gives this trade a durable momentum driver rather than a one-day spike.
