Nvidia is trying to use its own computer chips as loan collateral for a half-trillion-dollar plan, but the underlying hardware ages out of date incredibly fast — a major long-term risk that Wall Street is starting to price in. This vulnerability is amplified by the fact that rival AMD just posted all-time best sales and the market completely shrugged it off. When a competitor crushes their numbers and the entire sector still sells off, it means expectations have become completely disconnected from reality.
