A potential peace deal between the US and Iran signals calmer times ahead for the Middle East, which had become a critical growth region for luxury brands before the war disrupted business. LVMH and other European fashion houses saw their stocks spike nearly 5% immediately on the news. If an actual agreement is signed, these companies can fully restart their expansion into those wealthy markets, giving their revenues a major boost.
Strategy approach
Build a rule-based long equity strategy for LVMH, Hermes (RMS), and Burberry (BRBY). Use the daily timeframe. Entry: Buy when the 5-day EMA crosses above the 20-day EMA and MACD histogram turns positive. Exit: 4% trailing stop or if price closes below the 20-day EMA for two consecutive days. Max hold 10 trading days.
