Oil is above $100 for the first time in three months, and a Bloomberg survey shows OPEC output actually fell because conflict curbed Saudi exports — so supply is genuinely tight, not just headline-driven. Expensive oil makes offshore drilling rigs busy and profitable, and Valaris' takeover bid shows acquirers are already willing to pay up for that cash flow.
