TSMC just announced a massive 77% jump in quarterly profit and raised its spending forecasts, explicitly stating that the AI boom still has at least three years of runaway growth left. This demand isn't happening in a vacuum; it directly fuels orders for the companies that make the chipmaking equipment, like ASML (which just raised its outlook), and memory chip suppliers like Micron (which also just posted strong results). While some software and hardware tech stocks have struggled recently, the companies building the literal foundation of AI are seeing their biggest demand surge yet, making their recent strength a signal of more gains to come.
Strategy approach
Build a rule-based strategy that enters long TSM, ASML, and MU on D1 when all three stocks close green for two consecutive days following a positive earnings announcement from any of the three. Exit if any stock closes below its 21-day exponential moving average. Use a 15% profit target and an 8% stop loss, with a maximum hold time of 40 days.
