When a major risk event like the monthly inflation report comes in exactly as expected and the market barely moves, it tells you that selling pressure has dried up — investors were braced for bad news that never came. With one of the world's largest bond managers now saying the Fed is done raising rates entirely, the biggest macro headwind of the past two years is fading.
