When a sell-off becomes this widespread and crosses global borders, the downward momentum often feeds on itself in the short term. Because fear is driving prices down across the entire region, betting against an index tracking Korean stocks allows you to profit from this continued global wave of selling.
Strategy approach
Build a momentum/short strategy on EWY using the Daily timeframe. Enter short when price breaks below the 20-day moving average and RSI(14) is below 40. Exit when RSI(14) crosses back above 60, or use a 4% trailing stop.
