The U.S. government just approved a Saudi nuclear deal, expanding the global nuclear footprint at a time when defense spending is already at multi-decade highs. Lockheed and RTX just proved that the money is real — both posted record backlogs and jumped 7-10% on their earnings. Now layer in the U.S. debt hitting a World War II record: when government borrowing spirals, inflation follows, and hard assets like uranium and defense contracts become the ultimate hedge. Nuclear fuel suppliers are the overlooked beneficiary — they supply the raw material for both military nuclear programs and the civilian reactors that countries are racing to build for energy security.
Strategy approach
Build a swing strategy on D1 timeframe that enters long on CCJ, LEU, and URA when Lockheed Martin (LMT) closes up >3% on earnings or when a major nuclear policy headline breaks (geopolitical event trigger). Enter on the next open after the signal. Exit on a 7% trailing stop or after 25 trading days, whichever comes first. Add a secondary entry condition: if CCJ or LEU pulls back 5-8% from a 20-day high while LMT remains above its 50-day moving average, treat as a buy-the-dip entry.
